Carol Koogler
RN, MA, SMC/PLT, CCP
Carol Koogler has been a Light Therapy Practitioner since 2008. She is certified by The Board of Natural Healing as a Stress Management Coach using Polychromatic Light Technologies. Her interest in infrared light practice using LED and infrared pads was influenced by the success with her own healing from illness associated with high levels of heavy metals. She was treated with InLight Therapy pads with remarkable results. Carol uses various colors and configurations of pads consisting of red, blue and infrared LEDs to reduce pain and inflammation and to promote the body’s natural healing.
In 2016 Carol added Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) to her practice following several trainings in basic and advanced FSM by Carol McMakin, MA, DC, founder and developer of FSM.
In 2017, Carol added Peter Mandel’s Esogetic Medicine therapies, including crystal therapy, induction therapy and Colorpuncture, all of which have become the central part of her practice. She received her certificate in Esogetics Colorpuncture in 2017 from the International Mandel Institute, Bruchsal, Germany, after completing the basic and advanced courses with Manohar Croke, MA, Dipl. Esogetic Medicine, Director of the U.S. Esogetics Colorpuncture Institute in Boulder, Colorado. Carol is certified in Kirlian Energy Emission Analysis™. Use of the digital Kirlian camera has become central to her work in the Esogetic Medicine therapies.

Background & Experience
Carol began her professional life as a Registered Nurse with a B.S. degree in Nursing from the University of Alabama. She worked as a public health nurse at both county and state levels. She supervised and revised Maternal/Child Health Clinics throughout the state of Alabama. Part of the state position involved teaching Health Education to elementary school children (grades 3 – 6) on closed circuit educational television (ETV). Lessons were filmed live in Auburn University ETV Studios for 2 years, then 66 programs were videotaped and used for 8 years. Carol wrote, planned and executed all the programs and wrote the Teachers’ ETV Guide for the programs.
Following her Public Health Nursing and ETV teaching, Carol worked in hospital settings at Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus, Ohio and the University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville, Virginia.
After receiving an MA Degree in Health Education from Ohio State, Carol joined the staff of the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida as an interim assistant professor of Health Education for two years.
While teaching at the University of Florida Carol became interested in sociocultural and health effects on learning. This interest led to the completion of a MA degree in Anthropology and doctoral course work in Sociocultural Anthropology at the University of Florida. Her master’s thesis was a study of kindergarten children entitled, Natural Groupings of Kindergarten Children and the Ordering of Behavior.
After leaving the University of Florida, Carol became a member of the social science faculty at Santa Fe College, Gainesville, Florida and taught health, sociology and anthropology for several years.
Carol Koogler is a member of the American Nurses Association, International Light Association (ILA), a diverse group focused on using light, color and sound for health and wellbeing, and she is a life member of Phi Kappa Phi honor society.
Carol continues to attend symposiums and webinars to stay abreast of advances in knowledge and applications of the various modalities she practices.
