About Migun IR Massage Bed
The Migun Medical Instruments Company, a leader in infrared light therapy products, introduced its first Infrared (IR) massage bed in South Korea in 1988. The massage bed utilizes electrically generated heat and Heliku-Jade stones to generate deep penetrating far-IR energy, and combines this energy with massage therapy and acupressure to create a soothing and therapeutic treatment.
The massage therapy and acupressure are produced by jade massage rollers that move up and down the Migun IR bed on a scientifically engineered track and gently flex and stretch the spine, while relaxing muscles along the back of the body and legs. The rollers encourage neutral alignment of the spine, which helps protect the spine from excess stress or strain and supports the natural curvature of the spine. A separate set of jade rollers massage the legs, promoting circulation in legs, knees, and feet.
Studies have shown that far-IR energy penetrates 3 inches (7 centimeters) into the human body, and works at the cellular level to reduce stress and anxiety, gently detox the body, and strengthen the immune system. Clients report more flexibility, more restful sleep, and a feeling of rejuvenation. They also report extreme relaxation, calmness and improved balance.
Migun IR massage bed sessions are offered to clients after an initial individual assessment. Sessions are offered both as stand-alone treatments, or in combination with other treatments that we offer. Migun IR massage bed sessions run in 15-minute cycles, and the typical session is 30 minutes, total duration. Combination treatments may run longer.
